Pictures of my Noah

I am having a "technical" problem in downloading my pictures. I will try from Caleb's lap top later today. Stay tuned...................

Noah

My Blog List:

The blog, "Noah's Road" is not about my Noah. It is about a little baby boy named Noah who was shaken by his daycare provider. This little guy is fighting for his life. Please join with me and pray for Noah and his family.

"Kelly's Korner" blogged about 2 things you should never ask or say to a person unless are are absolutely certain of the answer you are going to get:

1. Are you pregnant?

2. Are you a boy or girl?
My son, Noah who is 14 and has long hair and is "pretty" gets mistaken for a flat chested girl much too often. Yesterday a girl in our neighborhood shouted out (more than once I might add) "that's a girl - that's a girl"! Even though the other kids she was with kept telling her Noah was a boy. I know people have their opinions about boys with long hair. Matt has had long hair a couple three times since we met - these Baker boys have GORGEOUS hair! Here is my request - much like Kelly stated - if you are not sure - don't say anything or say something generic like, "How ya doing kiddo?" or if you are waiting on us either at a counter or a waitress taking our order - just ask Noah, "And what will you have?" - don't look at me and say, "and for her?"

My question: Would you ever ask a girl if she was a boy? No, because this would cause the girl to think she was ugly or boyish looking. Boys have feelings too.

Again, I know the simple solution - have Noah cut his hair. I am of the belief this does not hurt you or me. When and if he is ready to cut his hair and donate it to Locks of Love I will support him 100% - until that day comes I only ask you take a minute and THINK before you speak.

Okay, off the soap box:

Below are a couple recent pictures I took of Noah while we waiting in line to register for school. I apologize you can't see his pretty eyes - he was busy texting someone! Have a great day! Stacey

**Update on Kashton**

Early this morning Mandi posted on facebook, "Please everyone take time and pray for Kashton he is fighting to breathe and the infection has spread. I know that my little boy is in God's hands. Please pray for Kashton!!!"

Then just a few minutes ago my husband, Matt called - he heard from Blain and Kashton is doing better. Yesterday was the worst day. Kashton's main line is where the infection was, so it was pumping poison into his body. They said his body is in septic shock. The doctors have changed the line, given him a transfusion, put him on iv antibiotics, and due to some difficulty Kashton was having breathing he is on a ventilator right now. Blain said today is a much better day. The doctor said it would get worst before better.

So please keep praying!!

Kashton Jackson

Dear Friends - please pray for Kashton Jackson. He is back in the hospital today and fighting for his life. They have discovered an infection which is causing all sorts of problems for him. Kashton is 11 years old. He is the funniest, sweetest boy around. All who have the pleasure of meeting him immediately fall in love with him. His Mom and Dad are equally loveable.

Please lift Kashton and his family up in prayer. Please pray for the doctors taking care of Kashton.

We love you Kashton!

Tattoo

I almost forgot to tell y'all about CB's tattoo he got while in California. He called one day stating he "had a proposition for me". This really scared me...I was afraid he was wanted to stay and go to school. All he wanted was permission to get a tattoo! Is that all? My cousin said she would sign for him if I said it was okay. I didn't have a problem - I knew he planned on getting one when he turned 18 later this month. (I guess he should have asked his Dad - Matt wasn't too pleased.) But seriously, what are you going to do? - he's almost 18 - he was planning on getting one on his birthday anyway - he wanted the experience and memory of getting this one while in California while on his graduation trip. Now let me explain what his tattoo is..... he likes the singer Cat Power and her album The Greatest. The album cover has boxing gloves on a chain. CB explained the song talks about being the best - the greatest you can be - living up to your true potential. It is really cool - he said it hurt like @#*+ and he almost passed out. The tattoo artist drew it free hand from the picture CB showed him - very talented guy.

Have a great day! - evening I guess now. :-)

The Boys are Back and You're Gonna Be in Trouble....

No, not really. It was a LOOOONNNNGGG week w/o my boys! They came home last Wednesday around 2 - very tan and very tired. They both slept 3 or 4 hours when we finally made it home. My house is back to normal - the toilet paper roll is empty every time I go to the bathroom (apparently changing the empty toilet paper roll in my house will somehow cause brain damage), there are socks and shoes everywhere, and the NOISE!! Yea the noise is back.

Have a great week!!

Love,
Stacey

Leaving on a Jet Plane

My boys left yesterday for California. My cousin, Mary and her family live out there. Mary gave CB a trip to California for graduation and NB was able to tag along. What a sweet brother!! They will be gone until the 1st of July. Our house is sure quiet.
